The Victoria Golf Course was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 2004. The 18-hole, par 72 Championship course offers a unique and unforgettable experience for all who play it. The course is a major venue for top international tournaments including this year’s Portuguese Masters.
Every care has been taken to ensure the preservation of the wetlands and the typical vegetation of carob, olive and almond trees. The fairways are wide and undulating bunkers are cleverly positioned. There’s lot of water especially on the back nine.
The 17th is known as the “signature hole”, and is the longest of the course. The hole has a total of twelve water cascades bordering the right side of the hole, apart from several bunkers bordering the fairway. The approach to the green, which is surrounded by water, is extremely difficult.

Originally an orange grove, this beautiful par 72 championship course is situated in the Ludo valley, just 2km east of the resort. Boasting some spectacular fairways and well-defined greens, Laranjal is renowned for its five beautiful lakes and its abundance of umbrella pines, cork and orange trees.
The first nine holes of Laranjal avoid most of the water in the middle of the course but other obstacles include many large bunkers. Water really comes into play from the 9th hole and this is where the fun begins! Accuracy and concentration is what’s required if you want to score well on this course.
Its distinctive rolling terrain has been expertly designed and manicured. Laranjal is one of the must play courses in the Algarve, before you leave you must try some of the freshly squeezed orange juice they serve in the bar. Straight from from Laranjal’s own oranges trees!
