Ulster won the Interprovincial Matches from Leinster at Castle Dargan Co.Sligo.  In a tense final afternoon, both
teams secured two and a half points overall but Ulster took the title on matches won, 20 against 19 from Leinster.

Day 3 – Friday 5th
April
Leinster knew they needed to beat Connacht by a handsome margin
in order to have any chance of retaining their title and started well with a
clean sweep of convincing wins in the foursomes.

Ulster to take the title, need to defeat Munster and win more matches than Leinster, however
Munster want to redeem themselves after yesterday and top pair of Chloe Ryan and
Sinead Sexton who were dormie 2 down birdied the 17th with a miraculous shot to
3 feet from the top of the rocks and birdied 18 to halve against Leona and Lisa
Maguire.  Gillian O’Leary and Sarah Cunningham started brightly and were 2 up
after 12 but bogeyed the 13th, 14th and 15th, lost the sixteenth to birdie, but
birdied the 17th and when Ulster drove out of bounds on the final hole it gave
Munster well earned halved match.  Ulster take a slender advantage into the
singles courtesy of a 3 and 2 win by Paula Grant and Jessica Carty.
